Audition to join the Kendall Square Orchestra
Auditions for the 2024/25 Season are now closed.
Thank you to all who have signed up to audition! The next opportunity to audition will be prior to the 2025-26 season.
AUDITION FORMAT AND REQUIREMENTS
Kendall Square Orchestra holds auditions on an annual basis prior to the start of each season. Auditions will take place in-person at 650 E Kendall Street, Cambridge, MA. Each audition will last no longer than 15 minutes and should encompass the following :
A standard orchestral excerpt of your choice.
A short solo piece of your choosing that highlights both your technical and lyrical playing (excerpts from longer solo works are acceptable).
Strings players will also be asked to play a G Major scale (2-3 octaves).

2. Schedule your audition by selecting a 15 minute slot on one of the following dates.
August 12, 5:30-10pm
August 13, 5:30-10pm
August 14, 6:30-10pm

All members must be at least 18 years or older to participate.

Concerts: Members are expected to be available for all concert dates.
Rehearsals: Members may miss no more than 25% of rehearsals per concert cycle.
Any additional expected absences must be communicated and approved by Andy and Kristo (Music Director)
